Income from indirect taxes increased by BAM 588 million

Revenues from indirect taxes in ten months of 2023 amounted to BAM 8 billion and 800 million, are higher by BAM 588 million or 7.15% compared to the same period in 2022 when they amounted to BAM 8 billion and 212 million.

In October 2023 alone, BAM 935 million indirect taxes were collected, BAM 72 million more than in October 2022.

After the ITA returned BAM 1 billion and 791 million of VAT refunds to the economy in ten months of 2023, the net collected revenues were distributed to beneficiaries in the period January-October 2023, namely the state, the entities and the District of Brčko. amounted to BAM 7 billion and 8 million and are higher by BAM 508 million compared to the income that users received from the Single Account for the same period in 2022.

DISTRIBUTION OF INCOME IN JANUARY-OCTOBER 2023

An amount of BAM 849 million has been allocated for the financing of state institutions in the period January-October 2023. The amount of BAM 3 billion and 807 million was allocated to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BAM 2 billion and 96 million to the Republic of Srpska and BAM 212 million to the Brčko District.

In the table below, we present the total allocated funds to the entities and the District of Brčko BiH with the corresponding external debt in the period January-October 2023 compared to the same period last year. All amounts are expressed in BAM millions.

In addition to the distributed revenues in the table above, based on the special toll for the construction of highways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (BAM 0.25), the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional BAM 186 million, the Republic of Srpska BAM 123 million and the Brčko District BAM 6.3 million. The difference represents a reserve in a separate account for tolls in the amount of BAM 0.25.
