Income from indirect taxes increased by BAM 652 million

Revenues from indirect taxes in the eleven months of 2023 amounted to BAM 9 billion and 727 million and are higher by BAM 652 million or 7.18% compared to the same period in 2022 when they amounted to BAM 9 billion and 75 million.

In November 2023 alone, BAM 927 million indirect taxes were collected, BAM 64 million more than in November 2022.

After the ITA returned VAT to the economy in the amount of BAM 1 billion and 984 million, the net collected revenues that were distributed to beneficiaries in the period January-November 2023, namely the state, the entities and Brčko District, amounted to BAM 7 billion and 743 million and are higher by BAM 557 million compared to the income that users received from the Single Account in the same period of 2022.

DISTRIBUTION OF INCOME IN THE PERIOD JANUARY-NOVEMBER 2023

An amount of BAM 937 million has been allocated for the financing of state institutions in the period January-November 2023. The surplus collected from indirect taxes ended up in the accounts of the entities and Brčko District. Thus, the Federation of BiH received BAM 4 billion and 198 million, the Republic of Srpska BAM 2 billion and 314 million, and the Brčko District BAM 234 million.

In the table below, we present the total allocated funds to the entities and the Brčko District with the associated external debt in the period January-November 2023 compared to the same period last year. All amounts are expressed in millions of BAM.

In addition to the distributed revenues in the table above, based on the special toll for the construction of highways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (BAM 0.25), the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional BAM 206 million, the Republic of Srpska BAM 136 million and the Brčko District BAM 6.9 million. The difference represents a reserve in a special account for tolls.
