The Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) informs taxpayers that on September 20, 2022. control activities for taxpayers who have recorded an increase in requested/approved refunds or unused tax credit.
The above-mentioned activities are foreseen in the Strategy for Improving Compliance with Indirect Taxation Regulations for the period 2022-2024. and the Action Plan of the Strategy for 2022.
In this regard, we invite all VAT payers to once again review their accounting records and VAT returns, and if they notice irregularities, to possibly amend their VAT returns before the start of control activities.
Once again, we remind you that the goal of implementing the aforementioned Strategy is to strengthen communication with taxpayers, and to inform them in a timely manner for the purpose of acquainting taxpayers with their rights and obligations.
