Cigarettes with the stamp of Kosovo were confiscated
Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) authorized officers seized a large amount of cigarettes and tobacco that were not marked in the legally prescribed manner at two locations covered by the Tuzla regional center. A total of 4,093 packs of cigarettes were marked with the Kosovo excise stamp, and these are smuggled excise goods. Also, 97.5 kg of finely cut tobacco and 358 packs of hand-rolled cigarettes were confiscated. The goods in question were seized from six natural persons.
A shipment containing electronic devices was registered for import customs clearance at the customs office in Tuzla. After the ITA officers performed a detailed inspection of the cargo motor vehicle, hidden and contraband goods were found and temporarily confiscated. It was about 384 boxes of the “collagen Crux” nutritional supplement.
During a detailed inspection of a bus entering Bosnia and Herzegovina, the ITA authorized officers found and temporarily confiscated hidden and undeclared goods, game consoles and chips.
The total value of temporarily confiscated goods was estimated at BAM 115,200.
Legal measures and actions will be taken against the perpetrators of the described illegalities.
