In accordance with the conclusion of the Governing Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority of 10 May 2011 Dr. Dinka Antić, Head of Macroeconomic Analysis of the ITA GB, was assigned to prepare an analysis of effects of introducing a differentiated VAT rate in BiH. Study on the implication of differentiated VAT rates and its Summary were accepted by the Board on the 117th ITA GB session held on 24 October 2011. On its session held on February 24, 2011 the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina appointed Mr. Miro Džakula an Acting Director General of the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a period of 90 days.

The officers of the ITA BiH Anti-Smuggling Group together with the customs officers of Sarajevo Customs Office prevented an attempt to illegally import 255 pieces of industrial carpets (1876 m2). The shipment of industrial carpets was declared to Sarajevo Customs Office for customs clearance procedure. During the thorough inspection of the declared quantity the surplus of goods was established and that surplus was seized. The customs value of the temporarily seized goods was estimated to be approximately BAM 15.000.
Mr. George Levitsky, Regional Coordinator for the EXBS Programme (Export Control and Related Border Security) for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia within the State Department's Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation, visited the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH and met with Mr. Kemal Čaušević, Director General, and Mr. Saudin Terzić, Assistant Director – Law Enforcement Sector.
The workshop on the issues of interest to the Customs Sector was held under the Twinning Project “Support to further EU acquis alignment of the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina”. The activities were focused on alignment of the Law on Customs Policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the customs legislation in force in the EU member-states. The workshop was delivered by the experts from the Customs Administration of the Republic of Slovenia, Ms. Selena Rauter Razboršek and Mr. Boris Kastelic who have also been helping the ITA officers draft the customs regulations.
The presentation of the project “Support to further EU Acquis alignment of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH" was held on 21 December 2010 in Banja Luka. The project, set to last for two years, is funded by the EU through the Program IPA 2008, with the budget of EUR 2,375,000.00. It will be implemented by the Austrian Agency for European Integration and Development (AEI).
In November 2010 the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina collected the gross revenue of BAM 493 million paid into the Single Account. This amount is higher by 19% or BAM 79 million than the amount collected in the same period last year.
In 2010 the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina intensified its cooperation with the Directorate General for Enlargement - Technical Assistance Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX) in order to prepare for harmonisation of the national VAT legislation with the EU and for implementation of other important activities.
In August 2010 the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina collected the gross revenue of BAM 506 million paid into the Single Account. This amount is higher by 10% or BAM 44 million than the amount collected in the same period last year. Also, for the first time after 21 months the collected revenue exceeded half billion BAM.
The Republic of Serbia Tax Administration pad a two-day working visit to the Indirect Taxation Authority. They have exchanged experiences in the field of Law on VAT enforcement and also agreed upon models for future cooperation.
In June 2010 the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina collected the gross revenue of BAM 460 million paid into the Single Account. This amount is higher by 8.3% or BAM 35 million than the amount collected in the same period last year.
Yesterday Mr. Gürbüz BAHADIR, newly appointed Director of SECI Regional Center for Combating Transborder Crime, together with his associates, paid a courtesy visit to the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In first 6 months of 2008 the Indirect Taxation Authority distributed BAM 2.794 billion from the Single Account. This amount is by 15% or BAM 365 million bigger than the amount distributed in the same period last year
Stabilisation and Association Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and European Community was signed on June 16, 2008 in Luxembourg. This Agreement will enter into force after its ratification by the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina, European Parliament and authorities of 27 European Union member countries
Delegation of European Commission to B&H led by Mr. Dirk Lange, Head of Unit for Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina within the European Commission Directorate General for Enlargement, visited today the Indirect Taxation Authority of B&H. ITA’s readiness to implement a part of Stabilisation and Association Agreement referring to the customs legislation was discussed at the meeting
As a part of working visit to Bihac municipality, High Representative of International Community in B&H and EU Special Representative Mr. Miroslav Lajčak visited border crossing point Izacic on Wednesday, 28 May 2008. Mr. Lajcak made a tour of the BCP Izacic buildings which is one of the modern and best equipped BCPs in our country

During the first three months of 2008 the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina collected to the Single Account BAM 1,317 billion that is 19 % more compared to the first three months of the previous year

Today the Governing Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority of B&H has made decision on allocation of indirect taxation revenues based on which revenues will be allocated to the entities in the following four months
